Foreign buyers
Legal guidance for buying on Mexico's coast
Clear, practical support from the first offer through closing and title registration.
What is a fideicomiso?
Mexico's Constitution restricts direct foreign ownership within 50 km of the coast and 100 km of the borders. For residential property in that restricted zone, a Mexican bank may hold title as trustee while the foreign buyer is the beneficiary and exercises the agreed rights of use, sale and inheritance.
General purchase process
